With a degree in physics from MIT, you might be wondering just how I ended up in UX design.

After deciding the academic route was not for me, upon graduating, I took a job at NASA. While I was hired for my knowledge of the stars, in my day-to-day I did front-end work on our mission's public facing websites, internal tools, and programming. Taking advantage of their educational benefits, I became acquainted with UX design in some of my coursework at Harvard and began to tailor my work around design methodologies. 

 

Eventually, after six years at NASA, I decided to make the pivot full force. I took a position with a data security company called Immuta where I have been a senior UX designer for now four and a half years.

I believe I bring a unique perspective to my work as a UX designer given my background. I can think both creatively and analytically to solve complex problems visually, a skill not many possess.
